“The outcome of the adversarial process often does not address the real needs or interests of the parties. Moreover, the process inevitably forces the parties apart and makes their relationships worse. For me, mediation “humanises” the process. We help parties look for common ground, and fashion creative solutions based on their real needs and interests. ”

A few words of thanks for your role as mediator. It was my first experience of such proceedings and I have to say that your calm dignified manner helped to bring some decorum to a potentially fraught discussion. In particular I appreciated how you introduced the parties and described the process. I felt this was quite disarming and helped to establish a level playing field for both sides.

Party to Mediation, Multinational Company (Middle East)

I had the distinct pleasure of successfully completing mediation with George Lim, from www.mediatewith.me. George is a straight shooter, he’s experienced, professional and most of all, he is a gentleman. He was able to support us in achieving our objectives and he even managed to make the entire process entertaining and interesting. Thank you, George and thank you Singapore Mediation Centre.

Litigation Manager of a US I.T. Multinational Company

We spent a fruitful afternoon at the SMC and managed to get our issue resolved in a speedy and mutually satisfactory manner. George Lim S.C. was a wonderful mediator who made a lot of effort to build rapport with the parties and get them to be comfortable with the eventual outcome, even strengthening the relationship along the way.

Business owner

I sincerely thank you for your time and efforts to resolve the issue in our case yesterday. Truly admire your tenacity and positive attitude to find a solution. It’s very difficult in these times to meet people who have enthusiasm and determination to peacefully resolve things. While I understand that you were doing your job but the underlying passion is something which made the difference. It was my pleasure meeting you and hope we can meet in the future though preferably in better circumstances

Ben Giaratta - Partner, Ashurst

Thank you for having done such a fabulous job! At the start, I was not sure if we would have a settlement but thanks to your skilful efforts, we managed to settle the matter in a manner that I believe was acceptable to all the parties. You were the star..

Samuel Chacko, Director - Legis Point LLC

George showed remarkable skills in the mediation I witnessed. A complicated family dispute, which had been festering for about two years, was solved within a few hours. George managed to quickly build a rapport with parties and identify the issues that needed to be resolved. He demonstrated an unconditional commitment. Throughout the process he helped the parties stay focused on what mattered most, and lend critical support in their attempts to find a workable solution.

Henneke Brink - ADR Instituut Representative

George displays the perfect level of intuition and quick intelligence to guide the parties towards settlement. He appreciates the need for patience, understanding and impartiality. At the same time he works diligently to ensure the dialogue does not falter in even the most trying of circumstances. I would recommend George to any one looking to resolve a dispute.

Shane Gleghorn, Partner - Taylor Wessing

Thanks to Mr. Lim's creative methods.. both parties successfully reached a settlement agreement. Our client is very satisfied with Mr. Lim's performance and really appreciated his great effort and experience. We as solicitors are impressed with Mr. Lim's mediation style - not to judge past issues but to lead the parties to think about the future and solve sophisticated disputes.

Solicitors for State-owned Chinese company in cross-border dispute - Beijing Hesen Law Firm & Pinsent Masons LLP

George’s even and impartial temperament is clearly evident from the start of the mediation. He sets a congenial and facilitative tone for the dialogue by putting parties at ease from the beginning, clearly setting out the ground rules and encouraging parties to express their interests honestly... George is also extremely skilled at stimulating parties to generate creative solutions and explore options that they might have otherwise summarily dismissed. His untiring energy and unrelenting patience in building constructive communication between parties yields much fruit in creating greater mutual understanding between them.

Member of the Singapore Judiciary

George is an excellent, highly effective mediator. In our mediation he managed to pin-point the real issues and concerns of the parties, and used a powerful combination of out-of-the-box techniques and genuine empathy to achieve a win-win settlement which both parties were entirely satisfied with. Both my clients and I would recommend him unreservedly.

There are countries or parties from different countries, and the dispute has nothing to do with Singapore, but they are bringing it here. When you ask them why, they say neutrality, confidentiality and a trusted system. That’s what Singapore can offer.”
